Summer's End

I'm going to be out of town for a few days, so I thought I'd wish you a happy Labor Day weekend with this little sketch from a post last June. When I was growing up, Labor Day officially closed the door on our summer. It meant the closing of the public swimming pools, and, unlike today, was immediately followed by the first day of school.
Have a relaxing end-of-the-summer weekend!

  1. We don't have Labor Day here, and the school year starts on April 1, so my memories are quite different from yours. But the Japanese are very calendar-oriented, and think of Autumn as starting on September 1. Fashion-conscious women start wearing thicker, Autumn-colored clothing, without any regard to the still-scorching temperatures. (Thank goodness I'm very unfashionable). I am always impatient for Autumn. It's my favorite season of the year, and it is always too short here in northern Japan. Winter comes FAR too quickly and lasts FAR too long. (sigh)

  3. I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease four years ago and tried Levodopa and other medications, but my symptoms kept worsening. Last year, I began a herbal treatment program with NaturePath Herbal Clinic, and within months I noticed real improvements reduced tremors, smoother movement, better balance, and renewed energy. I feel more like myself again. I highly recommend exploring their natural approach. www.naturepathherbalclinic.com
